Bluetooth should drain battery quite a bit more than USB by definition. On the other hand, I don't use Dopod as a modem for long periods of time. I'll give it a go on a weekend. How long does it take to drain your battery while browsing or talking via Skype? As far as overheating while charging and connection sharing, I'll give a shot too. Are you connecting from your MacBookPro to Dopod via Bluetooth or USB?

I signed up for an unlimited data download here in Hong Kong because I decided to use it as my modem for my Mac. All in all it seems to be working quite well and the slow speed isn't too much of a problem except when downloading large files. The one problem is that working as a modem drains the battery and if I charge the Dopod at the same time, then I find that it overheats and drops the connection.
